A Typical Year in the life of a MARC Program

Time to appoint your MARC students!

• You must submit a signed/completed PHS 2271 “Statement of Training Appointment” Form for each student you appoint: http://grants1.nih.gov/training/phs2271.pdf

- Appointments are made in 12 month increments. No trainee may be appointed for less than 12 months in their initial appointment unless you receive prior approval from NIGMS. Trainees should not be appointed unless they plan to complete two years of training.

- The maximum number of trainees you can appoint is stated in Section IV or your Notice of Award.
