Research Highlight

Adam Gomez, an MBRS program participant at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, has spent his time at the university studying the prenatal effects of nicotine. Gomez's research was featured in a recent issue of the local New Mexico newspaper, the Valencia County News-Bulletin. The article can be viewed online at http://www.news-bulletin.com/news/40031-04-21-04.html. Gomez, who will graduate this spring with a bachelor's degree in biology, performed the research as part of the university's Initiative for Minority Student Development program.
